Seals: Close by, Plentiful and Fun to Watch While Whale Touring

  • Two Seal Colonies Close to Bay St. Lawrence
  • Mainly Grey Seals
  • Some Harbour Seals

Seals are normally boat shy, but we are lucky to have two small seal colonies to the east and west of Bay St. Lawrence. Seal Sightings are guaranteed on each tour: there will be seals popping up and around the boat constantly as we travel. However, there are not always picture quality sightings as the seals are both quick and defensive. If the seals let us, we can get quite close to their colonies, but as is the case with everything on the tour, if they show signs of aggression or defence, we quickly leave them be.
